It's all got to do with the fact that we still have not discoevered our identity to this very day.
I mean we on this board have probably come as close, if not closer than any Assyrian in the world.
We have lost our "centre", our "point-of-focus" and misplaced our "homeland."
I didn't discover our identity until I was censored for asking the key question, "Do Muslim Assyrians exist?" on the AINA forum.
This is the key to our identity and the key question that separates the Assyrians with a religious identity and Assyrians with a secular identity.
An Assyrian denying that Muslim-Assyrians exist in itself proves that their identity is religiously-based.
Meanwhile a secular Assyrian realises that Assyrians come from many different religoins, denominations, genders, tribes etc. amnd accepts them all regardless of affiliation.
We are Assyrians people from moder-day Iraq.
Once this is realised we have an anchor that will stabilise our "shaky" religiously-based identity.
