Interesting points. I agree. And I notice they are directed more toward Assyrians and not me. I do not place Christianity above any other religion. I do not compare faiths. What I was saying is that religion is not the force behind the current motives of certain governments. Nonetheless, some will say that they are doing it for Christianity, while others may use another religion like Islam.
Simply put, I am not saying Chrisitianity is anything good- in fact, I am not upholding it at all. I am just stating the fact that the current situations have nothing to do with Christianity or Islam. If "Arabs" were Christian and "Westerners" were Muslim, then the cards would seemingly be "switched around." People will point at differences in things like language, ethnicity, or religion in order to "explain" their actions or aggressions. Thus, these are merely used as "excuses" as far as I am concerned, and I don't believe the situation would be much different if everyone was of the same ethnicity, religion, or spoke the same language, since it is not in the human way to get along.
