...and as far as those who state that it is the Christian Assyrians who TALK about being Assyrian...what does that prove...except that we are enamored of talk and see it as the same as, or really better than, doing anything?
Let's say Christian Assrins in the United States talk a whole hell of a lot about their pride in being Assyrians...to prove which they build several churches and affix the word "Assyrian" to the doors. Then these same people bless and help fund their government's efforts to clobber their ancient and "dear" homeland.
Meanwhile over in Iraq (and it could have been any neighboring country where Assyrians also live)the people are trying desperately to preserve their lives but also the artifacts from their shared and multifacted and incredibly rich heritage...protect it from American Christian/Assyrian bombs and guns and looting and occupation.
Who serves the Assyrian cause better...inspite of all the talk?
