xxx I think a lot of my single female friends are like this. One of my close friends has a gun next to her bed. It's because the U.S. is very unsafe, in general. There are so many stories of women being victims of breaking-&-entering men who rape them. There was a guy doing this to women when I first moved to this city, & I don't know if they ever caught him. It doesn't matter what part of town one lives in, either. I happen to live in a nice area of town, but it's close to a highway (there are many highways that go through this town). It scares me that some freak could break into my place & attack me in my sleep, so that's why I & my friends have weapons next to our beds.
