Hi Lilly-
I've studied a bit on the creation story. The Hebrew word adam was not used as a pronoun back in the early days. It was a common word that did mean "individual." Some theories on its etymology have come up with other definitions of adam like "from the earth" or "made from dust." It's also an Assyrian possibly Akkadian word (I'm not sure which)- adamu meaning "build" or "make."
Eve was also not originally not a proper name. It's definition is something like "soul" or " to be or live." Other definitions are "giver of life" and "mother of the living."
Lilly:: "I was thinking about this - how it alters the creation story a bit - makes it more of an allegory of life - an "individual" who is created of the earth by God with a "soul" as a companion."
This is an awesome way to look at the creation story to better understand how we as humans were created (how the mind and boyd are not separate) and what we are capable of doing. :>

P.S. I'm not an expert in anything but annoying the hell out of my cats.
: Another (funny) thing that someone pointed out to me: that Talmud & Taliban both come from the same root word & mean essentially the same thing.
