: i'm not advocating what pipes said. it's just interesting to read the extreme liberal, middle of road and extreme conservative views on the issue of israel/palestine
I try to shy away from the extremes. I prefer to read something that criticizes everyone involved (the US, Israel, AND the Palestinians) honestly and equally. By equally, I don't mean "Each party shares 1/3 of the blame"... what I mean is... to the extent that each party is to blame for the conflict... each party should be blamed that much.
The Americans, for their blind support of Israel, which Fred can tell you is just a proxy relationship whereby the US uses Israel for its political goals in the MidEast.
Israel, for their Nazi-like tactics against the palestinians, illegal settlements, etc.
and.. the Palestinians, for their desperate attempt to fight the Israelis by using suicide bombers, etc.
Fred's approach of lining the little ones up and shooting them one by one would probably work, but will never happen.
My approach is something that's just as unlikely to happen... drop 4-5 Nuclear Bombs on the area, killing most of the population.... Israelis AND Palestinians. If the land is uninhabitable for some years they won't have any reason to fight over it any longer...will they?
