I went to speak w/ a woman at the Junior League Family Resource Center here at Vanderbilt today about finding financial assistance for Lina. I can *NOT* emphasize *enough* how many times she asked me why a person with political connections/a politician from our community has not had Lina's condition taken care of yet, through connections, etc. I am so *disgusted* with the leaders of the Assyrian community! At least, one of our leaders should have done something about this by now. We should NOT be struggling with this situation anymore. It should have been taken care of. Lina's operation should have ALREADY HAPPENED by now!!!!!
