The founder of Christianity was a Jew from Israel. Of course there have been changes made to it...that's why they'd crucify Jesus all over again if he showed up today.
Islam changed a lot too from the days of Muhammad...but it started in Arabia.
Besides just wishing it to be the case...how did Christianity start in Mesopotamia. And if it did...why are Christians attacking the "birthplace" of their religion today...or do you always hurt the one you love?
Even if all of what you say is true...many people around the world have converted to Islam, from Nineveh to Mongolia...and no one asserts that all of them around the world are descended from the Arabs. As all Christians around the globe aren't descended from Israelis OR Mesopotamians.
The Assyrians and Chaldeans, having dropped their indigenous religions, picked up others...that's all. We are brothers and sisters and this has been one long religious war...the bloodiest kind. As Abdul Aziz said, in a political war you can compromise...in a religious one you have to kill everybody.
I don't think we can claim credit for Christianity and why on earth would we want to? What has it brought to that region but misery? Indeed what has Islam brought but misery...what do ALL religions that give carte blanche to people to act in the name of a god bring BUT misery?
Act in the name of your neighbors children.
